Privacy policy
Who is responsible for your information?
I am Iuri Santos, a freelance software and systems developer based in Sleaford, Lincolnshire. I am the controller of personal information I receive through this website or when you contact me about my services.
For an enquiry, a privacy question, a request about your information or a complaint, email yurispker@gmail.com or call 07599 659373.
Enquiries and project work
If you contact me, I use the details you supply to answer your enquiry. These may include your name, email or telephone number, business and the description of your software project. You decide what to share. I need a way to reply if you want a response. Please keep passwords, sensitive personal details and live operational records out of your initial enquiry.
When you ask me to take steps towards a contract with you personally, or engage me to carry out that contract, I use the information necessary for those steps or that contract. For general questions and enquiries on behalf of a business, I rely on my legitimate interest in responding to requests and managing business correspondence. I consider the purpose of the contact and what you could reasonably expect before using your information.
I use records needed for accounting and taxation to meet applicable legal obligations. I may retain relevant correspondence for my legitimate interest in establishing, exercising or defending a legal claim. Project-specific data access and responsibilities are agreed separately before work begins.
Website delivery and security
The hosting and network providers that deliver this website may process your IP address, the time and address of a request, browser information and error or security logs. I rely on my legitimate interest in operating the site, diagnosing faults and protecting it against misuse.
Who receives your information?
Service providers that need access for their task include website and network hosting providers, Cognito Forms for form entries, and email providers for messages and replies. Google processes messages sent to the published Gmail address. If a project requires another party to receive information, I will explain the arrangements for that project. I may also provide records to professional advisers or public authorities where necessary and lawful.
Submitting the form sends your entry to Cognito Forms for processing on my behalf. Form notifications, if enabled, can also deliver details to the configured mailbox. You can use the email address or telephone number above without using the embedded form.
External services and browser storage
The embedded enquiry form and LinkedIn badge are off until you allow the relevant service. The form provider uses the connection to display the form and handle entries. Cognito Forms says it does not itself use cookies on public or embedded forms or track the people who fill them in. The LinkedIn badge lets you see public profile information. Allowing either service lets its provider receive technical information such as your IP address and browser details. LinkedIn may associate a visit with your account and use cookies or similar technology for analytics, personalisation or advertising. I rely on your consent for loading these optional features and the associated access to your device.
The Privacy choices control in the footer lets you allow or reject either service and withdraw permission. Your browser stores your selected preferences, notice version and choice time under a key starting with iuri_privacy_choices_ specific to this website, and recognises that choice for 180 days. An expired choice is discarded on your next visit. This first-party preference is used to remember your instructions. It does not contain an account ID. A temporary browser-storage check is used before applying a saved permission. If storage is unavailable, a tab can remember a refusal in session storage or the current history entry to avoid reloading a previously allowed provider. If you choose to pause the site animations, the theme uses iu-pause-motion in session storage for that tab. Signing into WordPress separately uses cookies for authentication and administrative preferences.
Withdrawing consent stops further embedded loads on this site. The provider may already have received information or stored its own cookies. Your browser settings let you manage those cookies. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before you withdrew. Following an ordinary link to LinkedIn or opening the form on Cognito Forms takes you to that provider’s site.

International transfers
Cognito Forms states that it hosts its data in the United States and participates in the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for covered transfers. LinkedIn may also transfer data internationally. It describes using standard contractual clauses and the UK Addendum for certain transfers. Google processes information on servers in different countries and publishes the transfer frameworks it uses. Contact me if you would like details or a copy of safeguards relevant to your enquiry.

How long information is kept
I keep an enquiry and the associated correspondence while a reply, agreed follow-up or related project is active. When reviewing it for deletion, I consider whether the matter is closed, whether the information is needed to fulfil a contract and whether a tax, accounting or specific legal claim requires retention. I keep only the records needed for the applicable obligation or claim.
Security logs are kept for fault investigation, abuse detection and any incident that still needs investigation. Backup copies may remain until the next applicable backup rotation. You can ask me about the period applying to a particular record. The periods for optional service preferences are described above.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for access to your personal information, correction, erasure or restriction of its use. Where the applicable conditions are met, you can request a portable copy of information you supplied that is processed by automated means on the basis of consent or contract. Contact me using the details above. I may ask for enough information to identify the relevant records and verify your identity.
Your right to object
You may object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your situation. Explain what you object to so I can consider your request. You have an absolute right to object to direct marketing.
Complaints
You can complain to me by email or telephone using the contact details above. Describe what happened and how you would like me to respond. I will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, investigate it and tell you the outcome without undue delay. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
